NATHAN LEBRON ANNOUNCES HIS CANDIDACY FOR ALBANY COUNTY EXECUTIVE

It is with great pride that I announce my candidacy for the office of Albany County Executive. I will be seeking both the GOP endorsement and the endorsement of disenfranchised democrats and members of other parties. It is my goal to create a fusion ticket giving all voters an opportunity to support a qualified candidate.

After numerous discussions with fellow party members and Capital Region Democrats who strongly disagree with the current “democratic process”, I am compelled to offer the voters of this great county an opportunity at a critical time. The issues affecting us today transcend political ideology. This race must focus on changing the culture of established politics, controlling costs and spending, ensuring our infrastructure is strong and vibrant for the future and giving all voters in Albany County a voice. Our county not only has urban centers but has a unique blend of bedroom communities, agriculture and industry. County Government must be responsive to all voters.

Being a realist I know this campaign will offer challenges and require hard work and a strong organization. I am confident my skills and the support and encouragement I have received thus far will be help greatly as we embark on our quest to bring the County Government back to the hands of the people of this county and free it from the confines of the political status quo.
